just laugh at how stupid they are. otherwise you'll go nuts. i'm glad they now want to check your credit card ID before registering (i forget my old aliases) because it motivates me to waste my time somewhere else.

Are you fucking kidding? You can't register without a credit card anymore? That's bullshit.

Well, not that I really care about the site much. It just angers me that more and more it's impossible to do anything without a credit card in this society.

well, not credit card exactly, but you need an amazon account identity as a reference, which i believe requires a credit card. i didn't get that far, i just closed the window and went somewhere else. i don't mind the stupid posts, i just skip them or laugh at them, but i really hate it when posts get deleted. although i do like to joke around when people ask why the previous post got deleted by replying to them and then deleting it right away. har har.

most other serious film discussion boards are so full of rules - like the cinehound board deleting my account because i never post anything - that they suck the fun out of everything. i can see that they're trying to make things troll-proof, but it just puts me off the whole thing. the av maniacs forum is the most fun message board. but then i prefer to lurk and read other people's conversations regardless of the content sometimes. anyway, i do my film snob talking outside over beer and food. you're welcome to attend.
